This policy explains what personal information Shovelready collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Account details such as name, email address, authentication provider, phone, city, and company.
- Purchases, subscription status, receipts, and parcel credits. Stripe processes card details; Shovelready does not store full card numbers.
- Parcels, searches, saved projects, report requests, intended uses, and feedback you submit.
- Technical records such as browser type, IP address, device information, request logs, and security events.
How we use information
We use personal information to authenticate users, provide and improve the service, process purchases and refunds, grant parcel access, deliver reports, respond to support, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain audit records, and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate Shovelready, including Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, Vercel for application hosting, and managed database and monitoring providers. They may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and similar technology
Shovelready and its providers use cookies or similar storage for sign-in, security, checkout continuity, preferences, and service performance. Blocking essential cookies may prevent authentication or purchases from working.
Retention and safeguards
We retain account and product-use information while an account is active and as needed for support, security, tax, payment, dispute, audit, and legal purposes. Purchase and entitlement records may be retained after account closure. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. You may also cancel a subscription and ask questions about our handling of personal information by emailing ryan@getshovelready.net.
Children and changes
Shovelready is a business service and is not directed to children under 16. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change and will post the revised effective date here.
